After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in International Relations, I took a job in Software Sales right in the heart of downtown Austin. I lived in a beautiful, modern apartment with the most gorgeous views of my favorite city. Sounds dreamy, right?
Um....it was to a certain extent. It taught me amazing people skills, independence, and the confidence I needed as I took my first steps into the "real world." But the most important thing that her Corporate America job taught me was that life is WAY too short to be doing something day in and day out that my heart just wasn't in. Cliché? Maybe. But oh, so true. Finally, I decided it was time to do something about it. So thus, ELIZABETH REY was born and I have no intentions of turning back.
"We're all so...so frightened by time, and the way it moves on, the way things disappear. That's why we're photographers.
We're preservationists by nature.
We take pictures to stop time, to commit moments to eternity.
Human nature made tangible."
