The Monthly Capture
Isaiah and I met in downtown San Antonio by chance. Was I looking to take photos? Absolutely, I always am. But that wasn't what brought us together. We ended up sitting in a circle with a couple others, openly, safely and honestly explaining how we felt given what our society is currently going though. It was a powerful moment. It was a REAL conversation. Isaiah is a local activist who just wants to make this world a better place. And I don't mean that in the cliche way. I mean he REALLY wants to and is ready to take those actions to get there. We may have started out as complete strangers but we are now two humans, friends even, with hearts and minds a little more open, fighting the same fight.
What's one thing you want people to know about you?
I am no one special, I put my pants on just like everyone else. Growing up I suffered from a loss of identity, I know people can relate to that. Being on the spiritual journey I am on I was able to be introduced to the inner God in me and that came with pain, but ever since then my life took a 360 degree turn.
what advice would you give to the younger generation?
I ask everyone to eliminate fear from their lives because that is the everlasting anchor that kills the inner God in you. We are abundant Beings, no one should limit themselves, you can achieve anything.
what do you hope for the future?
I have faith in a society where no one hates, or competes with one another and everyone is equal. Because in reality we bleed the same way and the water that we cry out is the same. No one should want to destroy another one creation, because that same energy can be used for YOU to be the creator of YOUR world. It sound blasphemous but it is not impossible, have faith in the process.
